Reuse didn’t work very well with object-oriented programming and doesn’t with SOA either.

I doubt enterprise 2.0 would ever show up. That just seems like something that the crazy kids over at SAP are marketing.
In the mean time, I’m giving the big “get lost” to my enterprise employer. I’m tired of implementing enterprise stuff, generally the code base is a mess, legacy stuff abounds, and there is NO WAY to fix it. Oh sure you can fix it, but there is always something more important to do - like add business feature X to enable Y. And in the mean time, the underlying core code has turned to muck, the abstractions have leaked on the flooring and you need a serious heavy duty new foundation.
My new gig however, has me excited.
