New name, new theme, new plans for blogging:
- Eliminated the daily del.icio.us links posting because I want to focus on writing full articles again. You can follow my del.icio.us links using the RSS feed.
- Using a minimalist theme that I developed based on Sandbox to put the emphasis on the content and ideas rather than any fancy visual effects.
- Blog and I now going by Anne Truitt Zelenka as I’ve legally changed my name and want to get some Google juice back from the late sculptor Anne Truitt whose family owns my maiden name domain. I don’t begrudge them that, but I don’t want to give up on the identity I had for thirty-plus years, especially now that I’ve found a way to knit everything important to me together.
Also I have some projects in the works:
- Writing a book to be published at the end of this year with Wiley Computing tentatively titled Connect! Success and Satisfaction in the Web Age.
- Continuing my editorial work with Web Worker Daily. The book is an offshoot of my work there and has the tagline Tips, resources, and inspiration for the web worker in all of us. I love that, because I think almost anyone can get something out of connecting online with respect to their work.
- I’m off to Estes Park tomorrow for a ten day family vacation. I’ll be looking for lakes.
- I’m starting some new consulting work soon. Very excited to do some enterprise-related stuff with people I’ve only worked with in person, not online. Will be fun to work virtually instead of physically with them.

New design looks great Anne!
Works ok in IE6.
Now can I go back to firefox?
Now back in FF.
In IE 6, the comment box got wider on focus, but I’m going to attribute that to the borked browser.
I like the new design, the new/old name and the spartan look. I would just add to increase the line height. See http://www.informationarchitects.jp/100e2r, 3rd point especially.
Looking forward to the articles. Enjoy your vacation.
Love the new look!
I also love the new look and especially the picture! You look so confident and indeed challenging. Minor suggestion for book subtitle — “in us all” instead of “in all of us.”
I love the new look, Anne. Very clean and uncluttered. I feel like you had a visit from the “Real Simple” fairy godmother…! Have a great a vacation.
Have a good vacation and I look forward to the full articles. If you get a chance to expand on your take on the ‘Web Economy’ it would be appreciated.
The site looks nice with Safari for Windows.
Anne,
Great to see you back to writing. Enjoy the 10 days off. Enjoy the lakes and I’ll look forward to your next post.
Congratulations on the new look and the forthcoming book. Very nice
Unsolicited advice.
Your blog name [the 2.0 part] will soon (if not already) seem dated.
Wait! I think you have already changed the name of your blog. How cool is that?

wow. this is just a great look and feel. the minimal is aces- i went in that direction for greenmonk. that picture is really great too. exciting.
This looks fantastic, Anne! I’m definitely looking forward to more articles from you, too, although I’ve also enjoyed the links you’ve shared in recent past.
Kudos!
Clean indeed.
seems to work fine on IE 6.0
have a great break
Like the new look Anne, but I have to say that the “Truitt Zelenka” throws me a bit. To me you just seem like “Anne Zelenka” full stop, but I’m sure it’s just me, and I’ll get used to it.
Have a great vacation.
This is a really handsome new page - looks great in Flock on my Mac.
I like the three-name ID, because your maiden name has “true” in it, and the rhythm of the three names is poetic, easy and pleasant to say and see on the page.
The book sounds spot on, one I’d like to read.
