I'll second Len's comment. Far more valuable than wit, wisdom or popular appeal is where you come form. I suppose it's that old saw, 'what comes from the heart speaks to the heart'... and you do this beautifully Anne.

Also, sometimes being stuck isn't such a bad thing. It can be a gift and an opportunity -- another expression of life's love for us by beckoning us to go beyond the dance we presently perform.

Just a thought!... and just to let you know that I, for one, get far more from your writing than you probably imagine.

Get well soon Anne.

Anne, I liked this post better than I probably would have liked one more set of predictions or year-in-review. I like real. And BTW, if you are lazy, then the rest of us are simply dead.

Anne,

I hope you feel better soon. Please take good care of yourself.

And if you were a widget-cranking blogger who wrote even when she wasn't inspired, I wouldn't be reading your blog.

First and foremost, feel better, Anne. Nothing worse than being sick over the holidays.

Secondly, I agree that predictions are old hat. They're not a prerequisite for being a kick-ass blogger. Write from your gut, write your passions. That's the stuff you want to write, and what your readers want to read.

And third, speaking of writing, just got my early-reading copy of the WWD book and I'm looking forward to tackling it before the end of this year. Thank you so much for thinking of me!

Be well, m'dear, and Happy Holidays!

Speaking as someone who blogs far too much, if you're not inspired, you either can't write or it takes way too much energy. Doesn't matter what it's about.

I personally don't set out to create diggable posts, I set out to write about stuff that I think is interesting and others might find interesting, too. If it happens to make Digg, Slashdot, or whatever, that's just a bonus.

Being sick sucks the life out of you, no doubt. I have faith you will find your way out of your sickness and funk, blogging as you want to.
