- I learned the word “desultory” when my younger sister showed me a mix tape she made for her then-boyfriend. It was called “desultory tunes.” Before that, I thought desultory meant something deprecatory, insulting.
- A noble project: making a list of Tweeting moms. But motherhood may be too coarse-grained a category to make a useful list, imho.
- Why does the text editor in WordPress 2.5 add “http://” into the link insertion box? It is playing havoc with my links, because I grab the entire thing, http:// and all. Thanks to zopemaven for the heads up.
- Replace “liquidity” with “money” in A VC’s post and you can understand why any VC might get worked up about it. But venture capitalists are doomed; web startups don’t need them. Besides, recession = lack of liquidity, no? Paths to money may disappear without any new ones replacing them.
- Drupal is fun, especially watching the community tackle problems. I upgraded a couple sites to Drupal 6.2 today. They are only toy sites right now, but I have hopes.
- Awesome yoga teacher Jean Massimo has opened a yoga studio in the Seattle area. The picture of her with the ocean in the background makes me miss living on Maui… just a little. Jean’s yoga classes in Kihei were highlights of my time there. Wish she moved to Denver instead.
